The City of St. Charles Fire Department operates on an all-volunteer basis. St. Charles is known for its dedicated volunteers and the members of the St. Charles Volunteer Fire are no exception. The 30 fire fighters are trained and prepared to handle whatever may come their way. The department has been an all-volunteer organization since it was established.
