4th of July Events and Fireworks

***UPDATE (5:00pm): The Chicken BBQ fundraiser (takeouts available) and Alumni baseball game will proceed as planned.

***UPDATE (4:30PM): As of right now fireworks are still on. They won’t cancel until 9pm, if necessary.

Light Up the Sky for the 4th of July. Prior to the fireworks at 10 p.m., come on down to the St. Charles High School ballfield for the Chicken BBQ (Chicken, beans, potato salad, and drink–$10 ticket) fundraiser for the 2019 St. Charles Jr. Legion State Tournament that will be served from 5-7 p.m. at the ballfield. The St. Charles Alumni baseball game will be held at 7 p.m. In addition, enjoy concessions from the WoodFired Pizza, mini-donuts, popcorn and more that will be located at the high school ballfield and by the aquatic center from 7 p.m. to dusk. We hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July.

Gladiolus Days 2018

Gladiolus Days is St. Charles annual festival in honor of the late Carl Fischer, who was the world’s leading hybridizer of new and distinctive gladiolus. He received numerous awards for his achievements, including the Society of the American Florists Gold Medal Award. He also received 80 awards for his “All American” varieties as well as the proven old timers. He established Noweta Gardens in 1945 and grew fields of Gladiolus in and around St. Charles for decades.

The Grand Parade is the jewel of the St. Charles festival which will be held Sunday, August 26th beginning at 1:00 p.m. It features over 200 floats from around the area and lots of candy for the kids!
